Lets share a Model's world: Lets call it a Fashionista's Bookclub ; )..

Well, all supermodels around the world are only human, beneath the glamor and high fashion lies a soul full of stories to tell, some have shared with through writing books and here are some I've personally read and recommend the fashionistas to read as well.

1st on my list is the 1st book I read about a Model that has been an inspiration from
day one. Ms. Alek Wek the International Sudanese Supermodel.
She shared the story of her life writing the book
From Sudanese Refugee to International Supermodel.

Desert Flower by the supermodel Waris Dirie.
You might have watched the movie but trust me the book is far more interesting
and detailed, highly recommend the book.

Follow The Model by Ms. J. Alexander the Runway Diva,
I haven't finished reading the book yet but I will tell you its a must read ;)..

& Finally one of the world's 1st Supermodels Janice Dickinson in
No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of The World's 1st Supermodel.
Nope, I haven't read the book yet but I already have it and starting soon =)...

If you have any more books by Model's on their lifestory, do share and recommend ;)..

Amir Luqman Designs

I was checking out blogs and new designs earlier on today and I came across this phenomenal design of a Malaysian National costume designed by a 25 year old International Malaysian designer Amir Luqman, it caught my eye so I had to share. Checkout the design below

The details, color and fabric looks amusing. Also worn by Miss Universe Malaysia 2010 Nadine Ann Thomas, she looked absolutely stunning.

I was curious enough to search out for his collection which I found very interesting on his website www.amirluqman.com, do checkout his website for more information ;).

Above are some of his collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 collection.

Alexander McQueen Spring Collection 2011

Alexander McQueen known for Awkwardness in Fashion, the new collection I think was just made to prove how creative people can be.

I refuse to believe these were made out of metal, it looks completely plastic yet the secret is unrevealed. BEAUTIFUL! this is what we call HIGH FASHION!

Don't those just speak out :"Royalty"? Stunning Stiletto's.

After these what else do we expect from the fashion world? the creativity has risen the bar up so high we cannot imagine what else to expect. Looking forward to 2011's fashion trends. this is very motivating and a fierce way to enter the new year =)...

Maintaining a Good Skin

I've always had friends and fans asking how I keep my good skin and what I use to keep it.

Here are 5 easy ways to maintain a good skin;

1. Drink a lot of water, at least 2 litters of water per day.

2. Use Healthy Shower Gel's, I highly recommend "Dove".
p.s as I always say "READ" what's on the product before you purchase it, yes it matters.

3. Body lotions matter a lot, I also recommend "Dove", Olay, Coco butter and highly Johnson's body care, these are very healthy for the skin. Try not to use all of them at once lol, keep a regular body lotion and always use it.

4. Make up, this is where the disasters start, when applying make up on your face know what type of make up your using, some brands are very harmful, I personally am a MAC addict, because its very good for my complexion mainly but its also one of the best brands I would say, very many use it and give good feedback on it "KNOW THE BRAND YOUR USING".
p.s Use makeup remover to remove your makeup then wash your face before going to sleep if you don't want to grow pimples :/... Keep a clear clean face whenever you don't need the make up on.

5. Since birth my mother would NOT allow not me or my sisters to use any type of skin bleaching products, that's the number one cause of pimples, marked and sometimes even scared skins, get rid of the chemicals NOW =S.

That's what I personally do to keep my good skin which has worked for me for a long time, I hope it helped and if you have any other ways of maintaining a good skin, please do share =).
