We Are Nilotic project was presented earlier this year by South Sudanese model Nykhor Paul. A project that promotes unity within South Sudanese.
The Student Union NYC, a clothing and lifestyle brand based in Harlem NY joined forces with Nykhor Paul for We Are Nilotic project. In the brand’s words “It is an amazing cause with an even more amazing group of people”.
On the 10th of April We Are Nilotic presented “Our Side of the Story: South Sudanese Women” exhibition at Harlem
Wine Gallery where Nykhor presented Mike Mellia’s Photography of South Sudanese refugees who came together to raise awareness on the current conflict in South Sudan(Click here to have a look through Mike Mellia's eyes). Harlem tells us the event was a success and had
an amazing turn out. Student Union NYC
also presented some beautiful shirts that represented the project and the
event.
